I admit not knowing much about Satyricon prior to the concert, having listened only to the last album and a couple of old songs. But knowing Suicidal Angels, I knew these two made an unusual match, but variety can be good.
We’ve made an exception this time and positioned ourselves at the back, on a wee higher platform, having a nice view over the whole venue. I expected better from the supporting act, but Satyricon blew me away. The sound was diabolical, Satyr’s vocals sounded like a voice from hell. He must have been using some effect. For the final songs Satyr also picked the guitar, and we were having the pleasure listening to the four skilled guitar players. Heaven in hell! 🙂
